Term 4 revision planning tips

As term 4 examination for Primary schools are commencing in a month's time, most families would have started planning revision schedules for the children.

I recalled during such months, we would still be enjoying our childhood playing with little planning for daily revisions. It would be so till just the week before examination, that we would start to panic and spending the entire day crunching down entire year's lessons into our overworked brain. As we now know, such learning behavior is not only health damaging, it is also ineffective and stressful.

To inculcate a good learning habit, I have adopted a learning scheduler to layout the following week's revision plans for the little ones. This would allow us to:

  1. Layout the number of revision items and understand how much needs to be done
  2. Implement a good study plan for the following weeks, ensuring sufficient time and coverage
  3. Reduces stress with proper planning and ensuring sufficient rests between studies.
  4. In the event if there is too much to learn/cover, break down the items into bite sizes and just focus on the important points.
  5. Use either flash cards or little notepads to note the key focus points for easy reference and quick scan revision.
I have enclosed a scheduler where parents may download and fill in the plans. I have included a sample how the table could be used. You are most welcomed to download the Table Scheduler and customized it to your requirement.

Point to note, All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy! So hope this scheduler would help your little ones lead a stress free and healthy examination preparation period.
