Family Friendly outing : Singapore Sports Hub

Singapore Sports Hub, a newly completed uplift project, breathes new life to the old national stadium.






Gleaming in her new brim, the sports hub boasts of a new retractable roof as well as a new suite of comfort cooling system for all spectators.






This new structure is well facilitated with Aquatic center to accommodate water competition, as well as a sports arena for other indoor sports competition such as badminton, basketball etc.  These facilities are also open for public booking during non competition period.






We visited the sports hub on several occasions, bringing along a basketball and volleyball, and the kids had great fun throwing and chasing around in the cooled spacious arena.



The Sports Hub is also well planned with other family friendly facilities, such as the Kallang Wave Mall as well as a Sports Hub Library.

The Kallang Wave Mall is a family friendly weekend chill out venue, with many popular shopping outlets such as Daiso, FairPrice Xtra, H&M, Sportslink, Uniqlo and more. Dining options are also easily available, such as Manhatten Fish Market, Poulet, Old Town White Coffee, Foodfare and more.  There is even an indoor rock climbing facility by Walltopia  where little ones could scale the wall under parent's supervision. 

















For families with little kids, there is also a little wet and dry playground for the active cubbies to burn off some energy, whilst parents could wait around and appreciate evening breeze and the beautiful surrounding landscape view.




 Indeed, the old location has transformed into a totally different and family friendly community gem, yet is able to host massive competition events elegantly. As there are several more facilities we have yet to cover, such as the Splash N Surf and the Singapore Sports Museum, we will definitely look forward to the next revisit for more quality family time.
