Family friendly outing: Children's Season -National Museum of Singapore
Recently we brought our cubs to a family friendly trip to the National Museum of Singapore to spend a funfilled afternoon and appreciate the Masak Masak: My Childhood exhibits and workshop.
The first stop was on Level 3 to visit the Play@NMS exhibits where children can explore the larger than life size game exhibits. There is a stretch of kitchen toys display, a large tent display, a large tree puzzle and a giant sofa and tv exhibits where children can explore and great for photo taking as well.
There are also some coloring activities just outside the exhibition hall.
At level 2, there are also several exhibits such as Word Out at the Platform where kids can have fun creating words using body gestures in front of a screen. At the Glass Atrium, there are also "Sculpture Scribble" exhibits where the little ones can interact with the creations made from old and scrap materials.
At level 1, the biggest attraction would be non other than the "Playgrounds on the Lawn" exhibit, featuring our old familiar cement playgrounds of our yesteryears. Of course in this case, they are specially created blown up balloon slides and playground where the kids can run up and down the giant slides and jump around in.
There are also two other exhibits "Salon: Come and Play" by Justin Lee, where kids can appreciate many creative cardboard works of houses, trees, rock horses and much more. For a small contribution, you can also obtain some stickers and cardboard materials and make your own creations in the salon.
At the concourse, there is another exhibit "Larger-than-life Games" where our favorite childhood games are remade into giant exhibit game items and the family can have fun with giant five stones, pick up sticks and more.
It's definitely a family friendly museum trip worth making and the exhibits will still be ongoing till 3rd August.
Have fun!
