10 Back to Basics outdoor activity

The great outdoor is always one of the healthiest family day option as it allows our body the luxury of soaking in some vitamin D, as well as a great form of rejuvenating our mind from stress.

One do not necessarily need to spend much to enjoy and appreciate nature, do consider some of these back to basics outdoor activity:

  1.  Spend a morning/afternoon with the entire family in a neighborhood playground, both young and old can have a great time playing and chasing a game of hide and seek as well apart from the playground facilities.
  2. Take a walk/ picnic in a park, you can even collect leaves and twig samples for home craft projects.
  3. Plan a little treasure hunting game in the neighborhood.
  4. Spend a day at the beach, engage a mini sand castle building competition or simply enjoy a picnic and breeze with the kids.
  5. Bring a sketch pad and find a comfortable spot and start sketching the great outdoor, it can be a picture of anything observed or comes to mind.
  6. Simply bring along a ball and have a game of soccer or any ball games in the field.
  7. Enjoy a dip at a pool, it's a great way to let the little ones burn off some energy as well as pick up some swimming skills.
  8. Engage in a family gardening project, let the little ones do some digging and watering together and learn about the plants.
  9. On fine windy days, it's terrific to plan a kite flying session.
  10. Visit a zoo, farm or kelong, explore and learn about the wild life.
