Family time cooped up in the house with kids need not be boring or nerve wrecking. This is usually a great opportunity for both young and old to bond, have fun and learn together, offering a chance for parents to reminisce our childhood.

- Have a great board game together, snake and ladder offers a great number counting opportunity for kids. Snap cards could also be a great memory training game for family at a game of matching.
- Collect some recycled items such as old magazines, bottles or boxes and the family can have a great craft time together, the final product can even be displayed as a family pride.
- Some household products can be used as great science experiments where both young and old, do consider simple experiments such as dancing dried berries using baking soda and vinegar, coke and mentos to create a volcano eruption.
- Help the little ones burn off some energy and reminisce your childhood with a game of musical chair or Simon says.
- Host a small baking session together. Even if mum is not a baking expert, this can be accomplished just laying out spreads of ingredients such as cheese, mushrooms and vegetable options and let the little ones create their own mini pizza option over slices of bread.
- Host a small tea party
- Gather around and share a great family movie time together over pop corns and ice cream.
- Involve the little ones participation in simple family chores together, such as folding laundry or packing.
- Family story telling time, the older ones could take turn to share a story. Otherwise, everyone could take turn to continue a story using their imaginations.
