Family friendly outing: Westgate Wonderland

Recently we brought the family to the Westgate Wonderland to let the little ones burn off some energy and had a wonderful time.

This is a fantasy garden themed outdoor playground and is located on level 4 of the shopping mall.

Upon entering, kids will be greeted by oversized musical flora that lights up beautifully, and beautiful gigantic insects. The kids could also strength their limbs and stamina conquering the rock climbing wall just next to the flora fauna displays.

The major attraction that could keep the chicks occupied for hours is the 10 metre tree house filled with slides, rope swings and even a fireman pole.

The entire interior including the up climb slopes are constructed with sturdy tight ropes and nettings and is great for training the little ones' guts, agility and stamina.

The setup is similar but smaller for the huge flower pot house where kids could also run in and charge up and down the slides.

The playground also boasts of a wet play area where children can keep cool and have fun under giant watering cans that spray water. The downside is that the wet play area is much smaller and limited in play structure for this smaller corner of the entire playground setup.

In summary, this is a great whimsical themed playground where kids can appreciate a great energy burning motor training playground. The downside of this is the crowd, as the kids are cramped into the play areas and there is even a long queue of parents and children waiting to access the playground. Something that we had never expected in other malls.

Nevertheless, this is still one of the best free outdoor playground in the malls and is definitely worth a visit.

Have fun!
