A Family Fun Maths puzzle game - Bear in the Forest

As the twins will be entering kindergarten 2 and primary formal education in a couple of years time, part of our focus would be to prepare them for the basics so that they do not struggle or are overwhelmed as they embark on the formal education.

We believe in incorporating learnings into their daily activities with a whisk of fun as we do the activities together. Well at least as much as we could.

One of my challenge would be to incorporate Maths into their learning the fun way.

Thus, here goes, my first attempt at a "snake and ladder" format of Maths puzzle for family fun and learning opportunity.

This Math puzzle, unlike a snake and ladder, does not require dices. Instead, each kid gets their turn to pick 3 items, 2 numbers and a formula sign, + - etc, and they are required to work out the answer in order to proceed.

I have included a web link where you could download the Bear in the forest free template in pdf format. Just print it out and follow the instructions, and you are ready for some fun time racing with your little ones.

I hope this little Math game helps enhance your family quality time and learning experiences.

Enjoy !
