Children's Little Museum

Just over the weekend, we visited the Children's Little Museum at 42 Bussorah Street. Even though this is just a 2 storey shop house museum, it's quite amazing what you would find in this quaint little shop house.

We were greeted by a life size robot at the entrance, and stepping into the shop, we saw many familiar old toys and collectibles as though we have travelled back in time.

There's a wide array of well maintained tin and battery operated soft toys, don't they remind you of your childhood?

Guess what is this?

We were surprised to see that even back in 1970s, multi functional players with AM/FM stereo, record player and a casette deck already available.  The picture on the right displays the specification of this player.

Not surprising, there is a judebox on display and the children were having a good time fiddling with the buttons and trying to figure out how this box works. Haha.

There is even a small cafe at the first level with a very tranquil laid back setting of the 70s with a little water feature .

However, we were too keen  to proceed to second level to view the exhibits.

At the second level, we were amazed that even though the floor area is small, but efforts have been made to seperate the exhibits and display them in unique settings .

Noelle was immediately attracted to the oh-so-familiar house phone commonly used in the 80s!

Look! This little mummy is bringing her baby bear for a walk in a cute antique walker stroller. Don't they look cute?

There is also a little bookshop setting showcasing all the old time stationeries.

The kids were having such a great time listening to us reminiscing their parent's childhood days, the toys and study tools that we grew up with.

How the school bags used to look like?

The use of an old chalk boards and dusters.

There are many other interesting nostalgic items on display, such as a mini drink stall with many  glass bottles of soft drinks neatly standing, and a toy shop.

Look! We even found the good old Duracell Battery Rabbit!  Isn't he cute!? He never aged! Still looking good in pink of health! Haha!

On the way out, I picked up an interesting item!

It looks like a mini rice cooker, but guess what is it?

Another display that you probably could have guessed .

I hope you had a great time traveling to the good old 70s and 80s with us! Do drop by Children's Little Museum if you have an hour or two to spare!
